Old Town Plantation & Retreat is part of a historic working plantation located on over 4,100 acres with old growth forests stretching along a seven mile section of the great Ogeechee River. Our land was home to aboriginal people for over 10,000 years and its current historic origins began in the 1760's as a colonial trading post until the American Revolution. Afterwards it was owned by a succession of old southern families including the Forsyths, Fitzsimmons, Stephens, Simpsons, and Comers.
Today , Old Town is a family owned and operated hunting plantation, Bed and Breakfast, party and small conference facility. We are hosts to many guests who prefer bed and breakfast comfort over the local conventional motel space.
It is our goal to provide our guests with a unique tranquil escape from the everyday world. We offer three distinctly different smoke-free guest houses containing a total of eight rooms, four with private baths and four with shared baths. All have porches or decks with a view of fields and woods, pond or tennis courts.
